Stephen Zhu burst into the new music consciousness with his big electronic track ‘Faded’ last year, a song that has over 63 million plays on Spotify as of today.
That song had a dark-edged gild to it pulsating glide to it while this new collaboration with AlunaGeorge has a similar glowing atmosphere that is trailed with similar digital bass and body-moving piano expressions. Aluna Francis takes the first verse which pulls the focus on her while Zhu’s soft falsetto joins in after. The track has an epic sax solo to commend it too.
Bon Iver, Grimes, Nick Mulvey, Phoria, Adebisi, Tinashe, Alunageorge, Daithí, Ab-Soul & more.
The Nialler9 TXFM show airs every Thursday night at 10pm for two hours. You can listen on FM, online, the TXFM app or if you missed it, on the listen back function on the site. Here’s last night’s show…
