Cara Kursh @ The Brú (9.30pm, free)
Singer-songwriter and Friary Open Mic curator plays her own original material, with Kino live music honcho Cormac Daly chipping in on a few covers.

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 1ST:

Music College Jam Session @ Crane Lane Theatre (8pm, free)
Students from UCC’s music college and Coláiste Stiofáin Naofa’s Music, Sound and Management course have their weekly jam. Promotion and stage management from CIT Cork School of Music’s Popular Music B.A.

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 2ND:

Interference with Glen Hansard @ Cork Opera House (8pm, SOLD OUT)
Surviving members of long-running Cork come together with the aid of superfan Glen Hansard to celebrate the life of Fergus O’Farrell. Special fundraising show for Brú Columbanus – home-from-home accomodation for seriously-ill patients in Cork hospitals and hospice.

Solace @ Cyprus Avenue (11pm, €5/7 after 12)
The curtain comes up on the latest contender to enter Cork’s techno fray. Lineup TBA as of writing.

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 3RD:

Anna Mieke Bishop & dowry @ PLUGD Records (6.30, €5 for non-passholders)
Quarter Block Party’s live-music bill kicks off with Anna-Mieke Bishop and collaborators, and violinist/vocalist Ena Brennan, a.k.a. Dowry.

Lowli @ The Friary (7pm, free)
Cork singer-songwriter Roisín Lowry, a.k.a Lowli, performs in the intimate surroundings of The Friary, following her live debut and E.P. launch gigs late last year.

Myles Manley, ooSe, Wastefellow & Le Boom @ An Spailpín Fánach (8pm, €10 for non-passholders)
All-night venue passes available for one of the festival’s heftier sonic outposts over the course of the weekend. Eyes in particular on Wastefellow’s Cork debut and the latest in a prolific run of gigs for ooSe.

Frightened Rabbit @ The Yard Bar, Mitchelstown (8pm, €15)
Scottish outfit play Indiependence country as part of an extensive Irish tour, also taking in Cyprus Avenue on the 8th.

Sky, Horse & Death, Ian Whitty & Brigid Mae Power (9:15, €10 for non-passholders)
Triple-bill taking in Cork psych-rock outfit Sky, Horse and Death, singer-songwriter Ian Whitty and festival co-headliner Brigid Mae Power as part of Quarter Block Party.

The Rave Space @ CUBE (9:30pm, €7 for non-passholders)
Performance artist Will Dickie presents a treatise on club culture and its questions amid club closures the world over.

GASH Collective @ Gulpd Cafe (10pm, free)
The QBP festival club kicks off with residents from female-identifying electronic music co-op GASH Collective ahead of their workshops on Sunday.

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 4TH:

Nialler9’s How Music Works @ St. Peter’s Church (2pm, free)
The bossman comes down to Cork, bringing his How Music Works column alive in a free talk/discussion event as part of QBP proceedings.

Arthuritis, Not Earth & Crevice @ St. Peter’s Church (7.15pm, €10 for non-passholders)
A triple bill of eclectic local noisemaking. Arthur gives us the latest from his home-planet of Lukon 5, Not Earth play music never to be heard again, and Crevice give a rare live excursion, featuring Irene Buckley, Elaine Howley and Roslyn Steer.

Pale Rivers, Skinner, Ganglions & SISSY @ An Spailpín Fánach (8pm. €10 for non-passholders)
Cork alternative five-piece Pale Rivers, Dublin punk Skinner and collaborators, Cork/Sheffield surfy math-pop trio Ganglions and Dublin feminist punk trio SISSY make up the QBP line-up in the Spailpín for Saturday.

Get.Up’s The Right Stuff @ Crane Lane Theatre (8pm, €7)
Young Phantom, Kestine and other highlight a special showcase of Cork’s musical multiculture.

Excursions @ The Friary (9pm, free)
For those who aren’t on for QBP, Jus’Me and Cee’DoubleYou take a trip around the world via their favourite records in the crow’s nest of The Friary.

King Kong Company @ Connolly’s of Leap (9pm, €17)
Meanwhile, out of town, Waterford party outfit King Kong Company might just put the structural integrity of the Hammers to its sorest test yet.

Super Silly & Naive Ted @ The Roundy (9.45, €10 for non-passholders)
Gospel/RnB-informed four-piece Super Silly follow up their Cork Jazz appearance, before Naive Ted completely wrecks the gaff with new tunes.

Dublin Digital Radio Residents @ Gulpd Cafe (10pm, free)
DJs from Dublin’s DIY broadcaster follow up their day’s instore broadcasting at PLUGD Records (do drop in!) with a collaborative slinging of tunes downstairs in Gulpd.

Dense & Pika @ Cyprus Avenue (11pm, €20)
Hotly-tipped techno duo come to Cork in a co-promotional effort between Cyprus Ave., Deep Blue and Bastardo Electrico.

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 5TH:

Volxkuche @ St. Peter’s Church (9.30am, €5 suggested donation)
Cork arts’ group-cooking community rebounds from the loss of Sample Studios with a Quarter Block Party appearance. Yoga and mindfulness exercises at 9.30am precede a morning of cooking and food prep, ahead of mealtime at 1pm and performances from QBP musical guests and a documentary screening.

Exmagician @ Cyprus Avenue (7.30pm, €12.50)
Former Cashier No. 5 men continue supporting Bella Union-released full-length ‘Scan the Blue’.

Sing Along Social @ Gulpd Cafe (8pm, free)
Aoife McElwain’s zero-commitment choral event turns its attention to ’90s boyband hits. Giiiiiiiirl.

Bum Notes Drag Karaoke @ Gulpd Cafe (9.30pm, free)
Hostess with the mostest Ruby Waters leads an evening of performative karaoke and discussion.
