Nialler9 and Quiet Arch presents a remix competition of Sea Legs

Avatar

Ciaran Lavery and Ryan Vail’s Sea Legs project birthed beguiling music that takes in Donegal fishing, coastal town living and moving music on their joint recent EP. Lavery himself is playing a Nialler9 show in Fitzwilliam Square this Sunday.

In conjunction with their label, Quiet Arch, we are offering the stems of the song ‘The Colour Blue’ so that any producer or music maker out there can have a go at remixing.

Once you’ve a remix completed, email me a Soundcloud link to the track before August 1st on [email protected] or add it to the Soundcloud group yourself. I’ll collate the entries and then the judges including the band, label and myself will pick a top three.

The three will receive Sea Legs on Vinyl or CD (whichever they prefer). The winning remix will be featured on this site and the winner will get the opportunity to remix a track from Ryan Vail’s forthcoming Autumns release and to have that remix featured on it.

I’ll also play the remix on my radio show on TXFM on Thursday nights. Here’s the original track and the stems for download:
