Youtube adds gig ticket links to platform in the UK and Ireland

Avatar

YouTube has announced it’ll be adding links to live concert tickets on their platform through partners Ticketmaster, Eventbrite and See Tickets brings concert tickets to music fans on the platform in the UK and Ireland.

Official Artist channels will now see ticket listings for gigs in the UK and Ireland with a visible tickets button. The feature is a expansion of the ticketing integration first launched with Ticketmaster in the U.S> which has since been expanded with Eventbrite and rolled out across Canada, Australia and New Zealand. See Tickets has joined for the UK and Irish partnership.

This brings Youtube in line with Spotify and other platforms which already offer this feature through Songkick and Bandsintown integration.

Youtube is already one of the biggest streaming music platforms so this is good news for artists who mainly make their money in the live arena out of necessity.

You can see an example of it here.
