Another Love Story have announced the lineup for their returning Another New Year’s Eve night, which takes place actually across NYE and New Year’s Day as well in Borris House, Carlow.
The new venue is an 18th century country house with grounds between the Barrow and the Blackstairs Mountains, close to the town of Borris with three pubs, hotels and shops, so not completely cut off.
Another New Year’s Eve will kick off with a long table ballroom dinner with Wildfolk and drinks by Sip Wines & Ól Cocktails, before the evening of live music and DJs.
Performing at ANYE is Sean Johnston, who was just in Dublin last week with his A Love From Outer Space club that he started with Andrew Weatherall. There will also be sets from Berlin-based Irish DJ Sara Miller, Dublin partystarters Bella Festa and Irish/Brazilian night New Tropicalistas along with the soul jazz singer-songwriter Rob De Boer and his band.
And the ALS Shift Shack Soundsystem will be in full effect.
A gentle New Year’s Day programme will feature trad from accordion player Seamas Hyland, Ireland-based American folkie Zoé Basha and Let’s Set Sail solo artist Wasmann.
There will be a brunch on offer, along with talks, walks amongst the beautiful grounds, wellness, and a visit to the local village pub for an early evening’s gentle new year’s vinyl DJ listen and dance.
