Niall Byrne Bio

Niall Byrne is the founder of the most-read Irish music site Nialler9, where he writes about new music and hosts the Nialler9 Podcast.

Niall is a frequent DJ associated with Lumo Club, a monthly “house party in a club” night in Tengu and also DJs around Ireland and at festivals like Electric Picnic, All Together Now, Other Voices and Body&Soul.

Niall  puts on unique gigs in Dublin venues like Lost Lane, Whelan’s, Bello Bar and more along with curating lineups at festivals like Sounds From A Safe Harbour and working with promoters like Homebeat.

Niall is the manager of Irish electronic pop duo Le Boom and slouch grunge artist Skinner.

Niall is a music supervision and sync licensing consultant known for  curating music for digital media, ads, TV, films and in-flight entertainment with an emphasis on emerging Irish music.

He lives in Dublin, Ireland.

DJ and Event Curator

Niall is available for DJ Bookings for club nights, corporate events, launches and parties. His DJ sets feature melodic electronic music with a penchant for current anthems and a curveball classic.

Niall has curated gigs internationally at SXSW in Austin, Texas & Camden Crawl, London as well as locally for Hard Working Class Heroes, Dublin Theatre Festival, Happenings, Sounds From A Safe Harbour in Cork, Camden Crawl’s Dublin edition and collaborations with Le Cool, U:Mack, Feel Good Lost, Forbidden Fruit and Bodytonic as well as Minimum Maximum (once-off gigs in interesting spaces including Block-T, Monster Truck Gallery and Granby Park) and Vinyl Love, a special event club night/ festival experience along with Cork’s Stevie G featuring DJs playing 7 of their favourite 7” records.

Music supervision / licensing
