Madra Salach add Dublin and Belfast gigs to tour

The Dublin alternative folk six-piece band Madra Salach are having a breakthrough with an appearance this week on the Tommy Tiernan Show and a debut EP It’s a Hell of an Age EP out this Friday.

Due to demand, the band have added three more shows this April in Dublin and Belfast to the existing dates.

  • Feb 7 – Róisín Dubh, Galway
  • Feb 13 – Mike The Pies, Listowel
  • Feb 14 – Kasbah, Limerick
  • Feb 15 – Spirit Store – Dundalk

The new dates are:

  • Friday April 17th – The Workman’s Club, Dublin
  • Saturday April 18th – The Workman’s Club, Dublin
  • Friday May 1st – Black Box, Belfast (CQAF)

Tickets from £14 / €18.45 (including booking fees) available at singularartists.ie.

General Sale: Thursday, 22 January 2026 at 10am.

The band have two songs out from the EP – ‘Blue & Gold’, an original song inspired by singer Paul Banks habit of buying scratch cards, which I said had “clear Lankum influences in the arrangements, but a bit more on the raggle taggle alternative Pogues kick.”

‘I Was Just A Boy’ is an expansive seven minute plus tune that builds up with mandolin and drums into a swirling drone, and reflects on teenagedom.

Madra Salach are Paul Banks (vocals), Adam Cullen (guitar), Jack Martin (mandolin/tin whistle/synth), Maxime Arnold (harmonium), Dara Duffy (drums) and Jack Lawlor (bass).
