NewDad bassist Cara Joshi leaves the band

Galway band NewDad have announced that their bassist Cara is to leave the band.
The decision was reached after time spent in the studio and “after some heartfelt conversations.”
“We felt this was the right time for all of us to embrace new opportunities”, they said in a statement.
The band will be continuing as a trio with a session bassist filling in for now.

Read their statement in full:
We’ve been spending a lot of time in the studio lately, crafting new songs and exploring a fresh direction for our sound. It’s been such an exciting and inspiring process, and we can’t wait for you to hear what we’ve been working on.
During this process, after some heartfelt conversations, we and our bass player Cara, have decided to part ways. As NewDad heads into a new chapter, we felt this was the right time for all of us to embrace new opportunities.
We can’t thank Cara enough for her time, dedication, and all the energy she brought to the band. She taught us so much and she will always be part of our story, and we’re so grateful for the moments we shared together. We’ve made a friend for life and are so thrilled to have had her in the band ❤️
Moving forward, NewDad will continue as a trio, working with some session musicians to bring our new sound to life. We’re excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to share it with you.
Please join us in sending the incredibly talented Bass Queen lots of love and wishing her the best on her next adventure.
Thank you for reading, love ye ❤️
