RÓIS x hhH -  'Did ye ever get The Ride at The Wake House?'

RÓIS has released the banging banger the Fermanagh artist was playing out at Irish summer festivals.

Billed as joint track between RÓIS and hhH – the project of Donegal producer Rob Mulhern (Tuath / Súil Amháin) ‘Did ye ever get The Ride at The Wake House?’ is a carnal electro pop clanger banger of a song that I saw RÓIS perform at All Together Now and Another Love Story this summer.

It’s Richie Kavanagh’s tongue-in-cheek ‘Did Ye Ever Get the Ride On A Tractor‘ with a more morbid slant, and really, there very much is an obvious throughline between this track and MO LÉAN, RÓIS’ breakthrough mixtape which also explores particular Irish traditions around death, and that can very much mean cheeky sex at a place of mourning. Sure who knows what goes on after a wake.

The video for the track was directed by Adam O’Reilly and is part of the long-standing First Cut Film Festival in Cork. The dancer is Alex Vostokova.
