Breaking Bad-featured blues two-piece play upstairs on Caroline Street, touring new album ‘Claw Machine Wizard’

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 16TH

Jamnesty @ The Poor Relation (8pm, €5)
UCC’s Amnesty International Society puts on a gig in aid of Lesvos Solidarity Open Refugee Camp in Greece. On the bill: Dry Roasted Peanuts, Blaming Hannah, Pretty Happy, and Slut Club.

PINS @ Cyprus Avenue (8pm, €13.50)
Manchester female four-piece hit Cyprus Ave., following sold-out headline dates around the UK and supports for the likes of Sleater-Kinney, Drenge, Babes in Toyland, Crocodiles, Sleigh Bells, Warpaint, Wire, The Growlers and The Fall.

An Club Cruinn @ The Roundy (9pm, €5)
A brand-new folk night for Cork City in the new home of Plugd Records, presented by troubadour Patrick Freeman. First on the bills: John Flynn, fresh off tours with Lankum and Lisa O’Neill, and Dubland bard Killian O’Flanagan.

Kilnamana @ CHURCH (10pm, €8)
Spanish/Irish electronic duo play newly-christened (see what I did there?) venue Church on Hanover Street, hot off the back of appearances at Hard Working Class Heroes and touring around Germany.

Good Music @ Cyprus Avenue (11pm, €7)
Cork’s weekly hip-hop, grime, trap, soul and electronica night, with resident DJs Stevie G, Ciara Ryan and KENxJOSEPH alongside host Jay Ronic.

The Grunts @ Crane Lane Theatre (midnight, free)
Newly-expanded alt-rock four-piece launch their new single ‘Heal Your Heart’ at the Crane Lane Theatre in a free, midnight show.

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 17TH

From D-Town to C-Town @ An Spailpín Fánach (8pm, €7)
Having clearly had enough of the rural backwaters of Dublin, a whole heap of DJs have decided to head down to the country’s capital for the night in the big smoke. Rub-a-Dub Hi-Fi and Misha Freshin’ are joined by Corkman Johan Arbraz.

HELM @ The Roundy (9pm, €8)
Helm, aka Luke Younger, brings his sonic explorations and deconstructions to Cork City, on a break from his duties running the ALTER label. Support from Declan Synnott.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 18TH

Martin Hayes & Dennis Cahill @ Live at St. Luke’s (7.30pm, €25)
Co-founders of trad re-imagineers The Gloaming take their reforming vision to classics and standards of the Irish canon.

Bitch Falcon & Elk @ Cyprus Avenue (8pm, €10)
Newly-reconfigured grunge revivalists do new tunes in the hometown of new bassist Barry O’Sullivan (Altar of Plagues, I’ll Eat Your Face, etc.). Support from returning of Cork synthpop monsters Elk.

Daniel O’Sullivan @ The Roundy (9pm, €10)
Grumbling Fur, Guapo, Miasma & the Carousel of Headless Horses and Ulver (among others!) man plays a solo show upstairs. Support from Cork five-piece The Great Balloon Race.

Sunil Sharpe @ Cyprus Avenue (11pm, €12.50)
The widely-hailed kingpin of Irish techno returns to Cyprus Avenue in association with Bastardo Electrico. Support from Ryan Morrison.

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 19TH

Disco Brunch @ Sober Lane (11am, free)
Twelve hours of dancing (with the actual brunch out til 4pm). No requests, just tunes and dancing, picked by Generic People, Fleece and guest selector Matt Love.

Quangodelic @ The Old Oak (9pm, free)
Fresh off multiple day gigs over the course of the Jazz, Cork’s favourite funk fourteen-piece play downstairs at the Old Oak.
