Post-punk originators Bush Tetras for Dublin show

One of the original bands to come out of the post-punk scene of the late 70s and early 80s, Bush Tetras are coming to Dublin.

The band who formed in 1979, and are known for songs like ‘Too Many Creeps’ are set to play a show in Whelan’s on November 1st, with Foggy Notions and U:mack.

The band originally reformed in 2010 with members Pat Place, Cynthia Sley, and Dee Pop, and released music in 2018 before a career-spanning box set was released in 2021 called Rhythm and Paranoia.

Drummer Dee Pop passed away just before that release, and the band in honour went back to the studio to record with Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley who also produced what would be become the band’s third studio record, They Live In My Head.

For the live shows, the trio are joined by Cait/Rocky O’Riordan of The Pogues.

Tickets €25 plus fees on sale Friday 30th June at 10am.
