Irish singer Lisa Hannigan has returned to sing a cover for the fifth season of the TV series Fargo.

Hannigan originally offered a rendition of ‘Danny Boy’ for the second season of the US TV show in 2015, after it kicked off a successful spinoff series, loosely inspired by the Joel and Ethan Coen film of the same name.

Season five of the show with Noah Hawley (Legion) at the helm, stars John Hamm, Juno Temple, Joe Keery and Jennifer Jason Leigh follows a housewife whose past begins to slowly unravel after she lands in trouble with local authorities.

Well this was the most fun I’ve had in a long while. Thank you to the @fargo team for asking me to be a part of their wonderful universe again . Massive thank you to @jeffersonrusso for letting me sing 317 harmonies and to @burkwin for putting some manners on them. Also thank you to @cathydennisofficial and @britneyspears for creating this absolutely bananas song of genius in the first place.
