PJ Harvey to play only Irish show of 2024 in Belfast

Along with the announcement of Two Door Cinema Club this morning, PJ Harvey has been announced for Belfast.

PJ Harvey is set to play her only Irish show of 2024 at Custom House Square, Belfast on Thursday August 22nd 2024. Special guests to be announced.

PJ Harvey recently released a new album entitled I Inside the Old Year Dying, the English artist’s first album since 2016’s The Hope Six Demolition Project, and played two shows in Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre.

Tickets on sale Friday 1st December at 10am via ticketmaster.ie. No price yet but Dublin was priced at €70 plus fees, as a guide.

Presale is active on Tuesday November 28th at 10am.

The new songs, Harvey says, offer “a resting space, a solace, a comfort, a balm – which feels timely for the times we’re in.”

After releasing her debut album Dry in 1992, Polly Jean Harvey quickly established herself as a vital voice in alternative rock. Famously unafraid to grapple with raw and emotional topics within her lyrics she is both bold and compelling in equal measure.

PJ Harvey’s critical acclaim knows no bounds following a slew of five-star reviews commending the artist’s most recent UK tour, heralding the fascinating and ethereal live experience as otherworldly.

Her tenth studio album I Inside the Old Year Dying landed at Number 5 in the UK album chart – Polly’s fourth Top 10 record – earlier this year, adding to an illustrious back catalogue.
