Forbidden Fruit: new acts, stage breakdowns and afterparties

The Kilmainham festival approaches on June Bank Holiday weekend on Saturday May 31st & Sunday June 1st.

The festival has issued a low ticket warning of less than 20% of tickets left as they announce new acts, Forbidden Fruit Night afterparties and stage breakdowns.

8 acts not to miss at Forbidden Fruit Festival

New acts added today include:


Bricknasty, Zaska, Ahmed, With Love; and successful Emerging Talent Applicants VaticanJail, Kayleigh Noble, MENACE and Sarah Crean are among the new acts added to Forbidden Fruit.

Forbidden Fruit Champions Emerging Irish Artists:


This year, Forbidden Fruit continued its commitment to championing homegrown talent by launching a nationwide open call, offering emerging artists the chance to perform at the festival and its official afterparties.

The initiative spotlighted three key areas:

Live/Electronic acts across Ireland: VaticanJail, Kayleigh Noble, Spooklet, DiebyVeg, Sahana

Female-identifying, trans, and non-binary artists in partnership with Skin&Blister: MENACE, Acushla

Dublin 8 Local Spotlight Artists: Sarah Crean

Jimbo Jones, Jake Fitz and Puzzy Wranger, were also added.


Stage Breakdowns


Forbidden Fruit Night After-Parties

Forbidden Fruit After-Parties take place in a variety of official locations around the city and running up until 3am. Festival-goers can look forward to an expanded lineup of DJ sets with major international talent sharing the stage with some of Dublin’s most exciting collectives.

All festival afterparties go on sale this Friday at 10AM at forbiddenfruit.ie.

Standing out so far are a Daphni set at Fidelity, Brooklyn Trumpeter, producer, and sonic explorer Takuya Nakamura playing Tengu on Sunday with Yaeji and Fcukers both playing Centre Point on the Sunday.

Remember: FF Night shows are ticket-only events, exclusively for those attending the festival by day. You must have a valid festival ticket in addition to a ticket for the FF night. Ticket checks will be in operation. Line-ups are subject to change; venue entry policies apply.
