The Belfast electronic punk duo and filmmaking duo also put out a video for new song ‘I.D.C.’
After releasing their Conditions EP trilogy, and having recently become a duo and signed to New York label ALTER Music, Chalk have announced the release of their debut album Crystalpunk on March 20th this year.
‘I.D.C.’ heralds the announcement with self-directed music video and song that uses EBM textures for an in-your-face pulsating industrial electro track – : “I.D.C. captures a fictional night out — self-destruction disguised as celebration, knives twisting beneath the strobe. It’s the danciest track on the album.”
Chalk is Ross Cullen (Vocals, Producer), Benedict Goddard (Guitar, Synth) and the previous singles from Crystalpunk include ‘Pain’ and ‘Can’t Feel It’.
The album was produced by Chris Ryan (NewDad, Enola Gay, Just Mustard) and Ross Cullen, mixed by Scott Desmarais (Post Malone, Lizzo, blink-182),and mastered by Chris Gehringer (Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga, Rihanna).
