ddr. marks a decade since its first broadcast with a party at FLUX Dublin, running Saturday October 31st and Sunday November 1st, kicking off a full year of activity.
Dublin Digital Radio (ddr.) turns 10 this year, and the station is marking it with a weekend party running Saturday October 31st to Sunday November 1st at FLUX Studios, Chatham Row, Dublin 2, featuring DJs, broadcasts and workshops, with further events planned across the rest of the year.
The station launched in 2016 from a small studio space in Jigsaw, before moving to The Complex just ahead of Covid-19 and eventually settling into its current home at FLUX Studios.
Over the past decade, ddr. has grown to over 100 active residents, and remains completely self-funded through member subscriptions, non-commercial, and 100% volunteer run, with no paid staff and no corporate sponsorship.
ddr. volunteer Laetitia Deering said the lineup reflects the full trajectory of the last 10 years, describing the weekend as a big reunion and a window into what the station has meant to people, with more celebrations planned across the year ahead.

The weekend also includes a yard and gallery party, an open studio with rolling broadcasts, live music and talks, a vinyl record fair, and a creative print workshop, with more still to be announced.
ddr. is encouraging anyone attending to sign up as a subscriber to help sustain the station beyond its tenth year. Paid tickets are €15 plus booking fee, with a substantial free programme running across both days.
