You’ll know this tune if you’ve seen Casiokids live at all this year. ‘Finn Bikkjen!’ is infectious and bouncy Scandanavian synth-pop at its best. The glacial falsetto manages inflect the song with some genuine pathos but for all I know, the dude is singing about falling in love with a sheep. Probably not though. The single is out on Moshi Moshi on 3rd August in the UK on 7″ and download.
After the MP3, watch the band perform the song acoustically in a hot air balloon…

Mr Oizo molesting Bon Iver on Sesame Street. Yummy.
Nice comment Adam.
What a tune!
This tune is addictive.
Saw this lot in a half empty Academy 2 a few weeks ago and was very impressed. Really tight and a great vocalist. And yes, they use some Casio equipment.
The translated is “Find the dog”. It is about finding a dog.
“The dog, my very best friend
I will never lose you again
Where is the dog, where is the dog
Where is the dog, I gotta find the dog
Because the one who finds the dog
Gets the best prize
Where is the dog, where is the dog
Mum has hid it, dad takes the time
And if you don’t find the dog
there won’t be a prize
and no chocolate
no cake
Hotter
Colder
It is hard enough as it is
Higher, lower
Bird, fish or turtle
It is hard to find it
When it is so small
Have you looked behind the plant
And in the bottom drawer
The dog, my very best friend
I will never lose you again
The dog, my very best friend
I will never lose you again
The dog, my very best friend
I will never lose you again”
Well dog/sheep, I was close!
Thanks by the way!
If you study the text a bit, youll see that they are singing about a game their parents played with them when they were kids. The parents hide the dog (clearly a stuffed toy animal or something) and their dad takes the time for how long it takes for them to find “the dog”. And then their saying that if they dont find it in time they dont get any chocolate or cake.
i serious, thats the lyrics xD
