Jasper Attlee’s jazz-house project is going to take to the grounds of the National Museum of Ireland at Collins Barracks next summer as part of the Wider Than Pictures series.
Berlioz plays Collins Barracks on Friday August 28th 2026 for a show titled deep in it, which will feature a lineup of artists handpicked for the occasion yet to be announced.
“If Matisse made house music,” sounds like a lofty descriptor but it speaks to the detailed intent and pretty vision of the Cornwall-based producer’s music (named after a Disney character), that has already found huge audiences leading to berlioz becoming the most listened to jazz act in the UK.
So what’s the fuss? The music is low-key – piano and sax-featuring jazz chords with lite house rhythms with sampled speech nods to the genre’s past, that has soundtracked thousands of Instagram reels and Tik-Toks and opened up young audiences to chilled-out jazz vibes, while reminding older heads of St. Germain.
