After the 10 albums on the main shortlist, and yesterday’s Irish artist of the year list, the Choice Music Prize reveals another list of nominees.
Breakthrough Irish Artist Of The Year nominees have been announced and the people who chose the list are Chairperson Adam Fogarty (2FM) along with Emma Nolan (Spin1038) and Eric Davidson (The Tenth Man).
The criteria is:
RTÉ Choice Music Prize Irish Breakthrough Artist of the Year celebrates an artist who has achieved substantial success for the first time in key areas of Irish and / or International areas of the industry including radio play, streaming, charts, touring. A shortlist of 5 Artists will be chosen by a judging panel who will decide the winner.

The winner of the award is announced March 5th at the live event in Vicar Street.
