After yesterday’s big 10 albums on the main shortlist, the Choice Music Prize is announcing its other shortlists throughout the week.
Today’s list Irish Artist Of The Year, an award I am the chairperson for this year along with judges Emma Ferrari (Raidió Rí-Rá) and Eoghan O’ Sullivan (The Point of Everything).
The RTÉ Choice Music Prize Irish Artist of the Year celebrates an artist who has made an outstanding contribution or had outstanding impact in Ireland or internationally during the year in question. A shortlist of 5 Artists will be chosen by a judging panel who will decide the winner.

The winner of the award is announced March 5th at the live event in Vicar Street.
