David Douglas – Royal Horticultural Society EP
Utrecht-based Dutch producer David Douglas‘ debut EP Royal Horticultural Society is an impressive meld of electronic synth, funk bass, deep disco rhythms with soulful vocal samples and twinkling celestial keys. There’s a vein of analogue dance textures running through the tracks giving the tracks an extra club dimension. Douglas is also a video director (who has directed Daniel “Gotta Get Through This” Bedingfield) and has such the man has made a video for the free-download opening track ‘California Poppy’.
Watch the video and then listen to the EP after the more. A Solar Bears remix is forthcoming. That will be a good match.
