Death Cab for Cutie are back.
Ben Gibbard and co. play the 3Olympia Theatre on Wednesday 16 September 2026
Few bands from the early 2000s indie boom have held their ground quite like Death Cab for Cutie. Transatlanticism (2003) and Plans (2005) were generational touchstones – the kind of records that marked time in people’s lives in ways that still hold – and their anniversary tours for both albums in recent years sold out everywhere they went, including two nights at Madison Square Garden and three at the Hollywood Bowl.
The Dublin show comes as the band enter a new chapter – they’ve signed to ANTI- Records and new music is coming in 2026, their first since Asphalt Meadows in 2022 – I Built You A Tower is out out on June 5, 2026 and the first single is below.
