The ScaryEire Irish DMC Scratch champion DJ Mek has released a new track featuring a member of one of New York’s original rap groups.
‘ROCK STAR’ channels some of that electro-funk rap group’s hit ‘Planet Rock’ stabs with modern low-end production with Soul Sonic Force’s M.C. GLOBE.
The tune reminds me of the early 2000s B-more house group Spank Rock. The release is on Bandcamp today with extended, instrumental and bonus beat versions.
