Django Django for Dublin show this December
Now that the UK band Django Django have finally released all four parts of their fifth studio album Off Planet, the band have announced some live dates.
The Djangos will play European and UK dates leading up to the end of the year, with the final show of their tour happening at Button Factory in Dublin on December 16th. It’s their first tour in five years.
Full dates below. Tickets €27 plus fees from Selective Memory on Friday June 30th at 10am.
Off Planet features Self Esteem, Jack Peñate, Yuuko, Stealing Sheep, Toya Delazy and more and was conceptualised by Django Django co-founder and producer Dave Maclean as “a way to go beyond”, to bring new voices, new rhythms, new experimentation into play, and effectively to deconstruct the band’s identity.
“It’s been a long time coming, but we’re really excited to announce our first headline tour in 5 years!!! We’re gonna be coming through Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris then all across the UK & Ireland and can’t wait to play you stuff from the new album as well as old classics from along the way. Hopefully see there. Love DD x”
I absolutely love the Self Esteem track and have been DJing with the Earthworks Acid Hip-House Remix of ‘Don’t Touch That Dial’ of late.
