Fanning At Whelan’s returns to TV screens this weekend; here’s who’s on episode one

Dave Fanning’s music TV series returns for series give this weekend on Virgin Media Television.

The fifth season returns with live performances in episode one from episode David Gray, Dublin band Big Sleep, Wicklow R&B artist Cosha, Cork’s electronic pop paragon Chubby Cat and Armagh singer-songwriter Conchúr White.

There will also be a special guest dropping by for a chat and a pint every week too, with multi-award-winning elbow frontman Guy Garvey kicking off proceedings on Episode One


Episode One of the series airs at 10pm Saturday 7th December on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Play, and is repeated on Thursday 12th December at 11pm on Virgin Media One.

The series airs throughout December and January, in association with Guinness Live & Rising and Whelan’s.

Fanning has chosen over 25 emerging and established acts from an ever-growing pool of Irish talent to take part in series five.
