FAWS – Other People’s Poetry mix for Yours Truly
By now, a fair amount of people with their ear close to the reverberating Dublin basement walls will know who FAWS is but it’s the two EPs that have really got people talking. And that attention has hopped across the Atlantic where a slew of sites have been showing interest.
Always ones with a keen eye, Yours Truly asked Faws to contribute to the OPP mix series and Andriana from The New Black who has been a vocal supporter of FAWS helped make it happen. The 45 minute mix takes in some David Douglas, Zomby, FAWS own tracks (including a Bobby McFerrin remix), Nic Jaar and Fly Lo, all put together with a lightness of touch familiar from the FAWS EPs.
Tracklisting below and that’s a note from FAWS’ ma at the top from the Yours Truly site.
