Galway is hosting a punk and metal three-dayer this weekend

TORANN is a new punk and metal music festival taking place across three days this weekend centred at the Róisín Dubh in Galway – January 9th to 11th.

Presented by Strange Brew. TORANN “celebrates the scene that thrives in bars and backrooms” and features sets from Bucket, God Alone, Primordial, Genuflection, Death The Leveller, SWEETS, Chewie, Puck, Mother of Pearl, West Coast Punx and more.


In addition, TORANN features:

  • An evening of music scene interviews hosted by Hope Collective & Irish Pop Star Archive Present (Friday, January 9th, upstairs at Róisín Dubh)
  • An all day tattoo flash area and metal and punk exhibition at the West End Collective (Saturday, January 10th),
  • A merchandise fair (1pm to 6pm on Saturday, January 10th at The Blue Note)
  • All ages shows from 2pm on Sunday, January 11th at Róisín Dubh.

FRIDAY 9th JANUARY

From 6pm | Hope Collective and Irish Pop Star Archive Present document, an evening of music scene interviews, upstairs at Róisín Dubh.

From 7pm | Shardborne and Ornith at Sally Longs.

From 9pm | Chewie, Puck and Mother of Pearl at Róisín Dubh.

From 12am | Sweets and Housemates at Róisín Dubh.

SATURDAY 10th JANUARY

All Day | Tattoo Flash and Metal and Punk Exhibition at West End Art Collective.

1pm to 6pm | Merch Fair at The Blue Note.

From 8pm | Primordial, Death The Leveller and Genuflection at Róisín Dubh.

From 12am | Okus and The Hungry Buzzards at Róisín Dubh.

SUNDAY 11th JANUARY

From 2pm (ALL AGES SHOWS) – Puck, Ornith, Talllon, 50 Foot Woman, Rural Hate, Infidel, Numbskull Narrative and Infared at Róisín Dubh.

From 8:30pm – West Coast Punx at Sally Longs.

From 11pm (CLOSING PARTY) – Bucket, God Alone and special guests.
