Gash Collective release Irish electronic compilation Gash Trax Vol. 2

Avatar

Gash Collective is an Irish collective focused on providing a platform for female and LGBTQ+ DJs and producers.

The latest Gash Trax compilation series Volume 2 is now out on April 24th, celebrating Irish fringe artists.

GASH TRAX VOL.2 features artists like Alyxis, E The Artist, Roibí, Roo HoneyChild, ANIMWAL, DJ Boyfriend, Sweet Philly and more across 10 tracks.

Gash Collective are an Irish based platform founded by DJ, producer and composer ELLLL, and DJ & curator Lolz, supporting female-identifying and LGBTQ+ electronic producers and DJs, through carefully curated and accessible gigs, workshops, releases, and radio residencies.

“The spirit of Gash Collective has always been to support and spotlight minority talent; this compilation certainly echoes that sentiment. This release is especially meaningful to me, as when we founded Gash in 2016, it was near impossible to find producers willing to share their tracks. There was a general lack of confidence and a feeling from many minority artists that the music technology sphere was not a very inclusive one.

Now in 2023, we have a collection of ten tracks by some of the finest and most exciting artists across Ireland. These tracks display a diverse scene, which is growing in confidence and finding its voice. While we can always do more regarding inclusivity and visibility, it’s very encouraging to see that things are slowly beginning to change”.

Listen to the compilation.

A launch party featuring live sets from Roo Honeychild, E The Artist, and Roibí happens at National Concert Hall, Dublin on May 6th.

A video for Alyxis’ track ‘Leader’ is out too.

  1. ALYXIS – LEADER
  2. ANIMWAL – Por que sempre eu?
  3. DJ Boyfriend – Tendrils
  4. E The Artist – THIS MUTUAL CORE
  5. Oval Orbs – Standing Upright
  6. Roibí – AtaVision
  7. Roo Honeychild – Grease Monkey
