Question the Dublin election candidates on their Culture & Arts policies this Friday

The National Campaign for Arts have organised election hustings for this Friday, January 31. The event, running from 11 am in the Project Arts Centre, will see candidates quizzed on their commitment to doubling investment in Culture and Arts by 2025, and their broader policies on the Arts.

The hustings will be moderated by Irish Times Arts & Culture editor, Hugh Linehan, and will grant artists, arts workers and media the opportunity to ask questions from the floor.

‘Confirmed’ attending to present their Arts Policy
Fianna Fáil – Niamh Smyth
Sinn Fein – Fintan Warfield
Green Party – Claire Byrne
People Before Profit – Richard Boyd Barrett (late arrival)
Social Democrats – Sarah Durcan (late arrival)

‘Hoping’ to attend to present their Arts Policy
Fine Gael – Josepha Madigan, Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht

The Labour Party have yet to respond to the invite.
