About GOAT

While Goat’s recorded output has been widely acclaimed, it’s in the live setting that their full musical impact and vibe is most strongly felt. Each performance unfolds as a high-intensity ritual, driven by polyrhythmic percussion and immersive repetition, designed to expand the consciousness of the audience. Goat live in Dublin promises to be a rare and uncompromising encounter with one of contemporary music’s most enigmatic and enduring forces.

To date, Goat have released six studio albums — World Music (2012), Commune (2014), Requiem (2016), Oh Death (2022), Medicine (2023) and Goat (2024). Their work extends beyond the album format, with the group composing the original score for the BBC and A24 drama series The Gallows Pole in 2023.

They have performed at Glastonbury Festival twice, toured the USA three times (including Coachella), toured Europe extensively, and played Australia with King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard supporting them.

Their debut album World Music earned Album of the Year honours from BBC Music, The Guardian, and Rough Trade. The band headlined London’s Brixton Academy, maintains regular BBC 6 Music playlisting with fans including Lauren Laverne and Iggy Pop, and composed original scores for the horror film Double Date (2017) and Shane Meadows’ BBC series The Gallows Pole (2023).
