It’s the last official day of SXSW music and what a week we’ve had so far. Yesterday’s clear highlight was a courtyard show with Grizzly Bear. Truly awesome stuff. They played ‘Two Weeks’, ‘While You Wait For The Others’, ‘The Knife’ and ‘Cheerleader’ amongst others. Amazing. My full reports are up on State:
Listen to ‘Cheerleader’, a new song from GB’s Veckatimist which opened the show last night.

Funny that reading about SXSW shows is finally what got me into Grizzly Bear, but I guess that’s what it’s all about, right? I’ve been trying to find out if the sound was any better this year, in general. Last year it was pretty much a mess, which I understand is not the selling value of SXSW, but we had a blackout at our showcase! Anyway, would like to hear about show quality if there are any comments.
