Dublin Writers Festival is happening around the city over nine days in May from may 17th to 25th and in the programme this year are a number of events of interest to the music fan, as well as the literary one.

- Thurs May 22nd – ‘Words and Music’, Viv Albertine (The Slits) in conversation with Sinéad Gleeson, Bob Stanley (St Etienne) in converasation with Jim Carroll, Idiot/Songs @ Button Factory (€12)
- Fri May 23rd – Scottish folk musician Alasdair Roberts and poet Robin Robertson @ Douglas Hyde Gallery (€15)
