Hardware returns to Limerick this weekend for last show before summer

Hardware returns to Limerick this weekend for their fifth large-scale improvisational event.

It’s the electronic night’s fifth large-scale improvisational event.

The last show from the Hardware team before the summer, Saturday’s event will feature a four-hour live hardware jam with electronic artists Benjamin Damage and Surgeon’s Girl, joining project founders Chaz Moloney and Brawni.

The Belltable event will also feature an Ambient Lounge for punters, offering a deep, multi-sensory experience where attendees can ‘slow down and sink into texture-rich atmospheres.’

Alongside this, a visual art exhibition curated by Fiona O’Gorman will feature works by Ciara Barker, Róibí Ó Rua, and Reuben Brown, exploring the theme of ‘dreaming in disconnect and the overlap between digital and physical expression’.

Hardware is about creating a shared moment between artist and audience. It’s a live process, unfolding in real time, and the energy in the room directly influences the direction of the music. It’s spiritual. It’s collaborative. And it’s always different. – Brawni, co-founder of Hardware

Known for its raw, high-energy performances, Hardware focuses on spontaneous creation using analog tools like modular synths, drum machines, and effects units with no laptops, no backing tracks.

The latest Hardware will take place on Saturday, May 24, at 8pm until 12am at the Belltable on O’Connell Street in Limerick. Tickets are €35 and can be found here.
