Turning Pirate has announced that Hibernacle is to take place at Orlagh House in Rathfarnham this July 4th to 6th this summer.

The three-day festival on the grounds of Orlagh House by the Dublin mountains will feature performances from:

Pillow Queens, Lisa Hannigan, Ye Vagabonds, Wallis Bird, Jape, Ailbhe Reddy, Gráinne Hunt, and Áine Tyrrell with a special headliner to be announced.

Hibernacle originally took place in Doolin during lockdown.

Here’s the blurb:

What to Expect
Hibernacle is a fresh, intimate festival celebrating music, art, and community in the history-rich grounds of Orlagh House — a place that feels as welcoming as your favourite local, where music flows as easily as the pints. Curated by music lovers for music lovers, the festival centres around one main outdoor stage, while hidden gems and secret sessions wait to be discovered throughout the estate’s serene surroundings. From soul-stirring ballads to high-energy sets, Hibernacle blends emerging and established artists in collaborative, immersive performances. It’s all wrapped in a cosy, close-knit atmosphere that feels more like a gathering than a festival — and when the sun sets, the magic keeps going with live sets in the main hall, trad sessions by the fire, and DJs spinning deep into the night

Late – Night Magic at Orlagh House
Hibernacle will also feature exclusive late-night after-show sessions on both Friday and Saturday evenings. For just €20 (plus booking fee), festival-goers can purchase a wristband for exclusive access to these intimate after-hours performances inside Orlagh House. Whether it’s DJ sets in the main room or a cosy trad session in the sitting room, these after-hours gatherings are the perfect way to wind down or keep dancing late into the night.

Ticket Info & Add-Ons
Daily tickets are €65, with full weekend passes available for those keen to soak up the entire three-day experience. Optional add-ons include return bus transport from Dublin city centre and a limited number of aftershow wristbands for Friday and Saturday nights. Can’t pick just one day? Grab a weekend ticket and we’ll happily swap your wristband so a pal or partner can join the fun another day — share the love, share the tunes! At Hibernacle, the real magic lies in how artists and audiences share the same space, pints, and unforgettable moments.

Getting There
Just 30 minutes from Dublin City Centre and five minutes from the M50, Orlagh House is easily accessible — a short taxi from Bray, nearby suburbs, or the city itself. Return bus tickets from a central Dublin pick-up point are available as an optional add-on when booking. Buses will run after the main outdoor programme each night, so if you’re planning to stay for the late-night aftershows, Orlagh House is just a quick taxi ride back to town. A detailed travel map and info will be shared closer to the event.

  • Hibernacle is an over-18s event.

About Hibernacle
Hibernacle is the perfect antidote to the larger, more chaotic festivals out there. It’s a relaxed, “grown-up” festival experience with classy food vendors, great drinks, and no stress – just music, people, and memories.

Hibernacle is an intimate, expertly curated new festival celebrating music, art, and community in the enchanting surrounds of Orlagh House. Designed for music lovers seeking something more personal and meaningful, it brings together artists, singers, and musicians – emerging and established – for collaborative, one-of-a-kind performances and creative sessions. Born from a spirit of connection and curiosity, Hibernacle offers immersive experiences that spark songs, conversations, and unexpected moments of magic.
