Intro: Back & To The Left – lovely Dublin men apparently
There’s not much info out there about Back & To The Left but this is what is available. There are four of them and three of them have been playing together since 2008. Ooh and they are “lovely friends” and “lovely men”. I found them on a Bandcamp browse and was taken by ‘Green’, the first track on their latest EP, which mixes post-rock noodly guitar bits with echoes of the atmospheric side of bands who are called Foals.
Of the other three other tracks on their EP, the are swirling electronics/hip-hop beats on ‘Dogworld’ also stands out reminding me of the experimentalism of Breton followed two less-interesting (to me) rock tracks ‘Train Wreck’ and ‘Teacher’. Have a listen to Back & To The Left:
