Intro: Dear Desert – Emotive synth-pop purveyors

Avatar

Well here’s something a bit different.

Dear Desert are a brand new Irish band, based in Dublin consisting of Brendan Millar (Futures Apart), Richie Fenton and James O’Donnell (Hush War Cry).

Judging by their debut track, the ‘Give It Up’, this is a trio steeped in heart-on-sleeve ’80s pop. There’s an elegant lean to the song’s piano / electronics that is a bit of an instant bar raiser. The band sound pretty well formed for their first track with more than one singer impressing. Production is by Darragh Nolan of Sacred Animals and most recently, producer for Blooms.
