James Blake – ‘CMYK’

Beautiful. If there’s one song that’s been providing a quick headtrip away from all the maelstrom of the last week, it’s the soulful, spacious rolling bass of ‘CMYK’ by James Blake. Taken from the EP of the same name released at the end of the month on R&S Records, it features samples from Kelis’ ‘Caught Out There’ and Aalyiah’s ‘Are You That Somebody?’ . Watch out for this chap big time.

Blake is just 22 from London and lucky us, is playing Twisted Pepper on Friday at Wobble.

  1. unsurprisingly fails to live up to my all time fave blake twelve – the remix of untolds stop what you’re doing. best track of 2009 by a mile.

  2. belated thanks for the gig plug – this tune still kills me. The one BP mentions above is pure killer too (although it’s a ten not a twelve!)
