Janelle Monae returns with the Prince-esque jam ‘Make Me Feel’
Not long ago when Prince was still of this earth, Janelle Monae performed at an awards show in front of the Purple one and won his attention for her outstanding performance. Prince would go onto to feature on a track from Monae’s 2013 Electric Lady album and become a bit of a mentor.
For the lead track from her Dirty Computer album, due April 27th, Monae is paying tribute to Prince in more way than one, channeling his classic ’80s funk vibes on ‘Make Me Feel’.
She also dropped ‘Django Jane’ a more rap-flavoured cut.
The album will be accompanied by a film, which Monae has dubbed an EMOTION PICTURE. Here’s a trailer.
