Jape has released the second song from his forthcoming sixth album Endless Thread out September 29th via Faction Records.
‘Lashing Through the Minutes’,” August 23rd’ is a bright and airy new song, with lyrics concerning to “appreciating life’s intricacies, encouraging listeners to recognise the beauty in even the tiniest moments.”
“That photo from years ago when you looked good? Well, you look good today too, don’t forget that.”
Richie Egan.
Jape recently shared the single ‘Heal These Wounds’.
Endless Threads took Richie Egan three years to make and was inspired by classic song solo records from the ’70s from Paul McCartney, Judee Sill, Robert Wyatt and John Cale, “layered with kaleidoscopic oddness.”
Artwork for the album is by M&E and features a 3D printed head of Richie. Pre-order link.

Jape – Lashing Through The Minutes Lyrics
In the middle of a nightmare
Behind enemy lines
Love is faint but it’s still there
And it will save us in time
Don’t call security
We don’t need no help
There’s a new day bubbling at the centre of your self
Grace is in the air
Lashing through the minutes
So we stole another minute
From the foundry of stars
You never feel it when you’re in it
How beautiful you are
But you see it in a photo
Taken years ago
Wound up potential and a beauty you did not know
Grace is in the air
Lashing through the minutes
Grace is in the air
Lashing through the days
Oh it’s a little bit, just a tiny bit, just a tiny bit true
Lashing through the minutes
Grace is in the air
Lashing through the minutes
Grace is in the air
Lashing through the days
