Laura Quirke and Claire Kinsella return with new Lemoncello music on Claddagh Records.
‘Meet Me Halfway’ is the duo’s first piece of music since their 2024 debut self-titled album, recorded during an artist residency in a cabin overlooking the Skelligs in Kerry.
The song unfurls across six minutes of delicate instrumentation, putting emphasis on the lyrics.
“To be so connected / And yet so disconnected / What’s the point in speaking / With so much left understood,” the song poses, as it resists the urge to swell into a crescendo.
In refusing to do so, Lemocello leave those questions unresolved.
