Lumo’s Summer Party is back for an all-day party from 3pm to 1am on Saturday July 6th.
As you may know, I have been a part of the club night Lumo Club for the last nearly nine years.
In previous summers, we’ve hosted boat parties along with indoor and outdoor parties in a boat club, and this year, we are doing an earlier daytime party at one of our favourite spots – Hen’s Teeth HiFi – in Blackpitts, Dublin 8 on Saturday July 6th.
The day will be an early kickoff with tunes from the Lumo DJs (Nialler9, Gavin Elsted and Simon Roche) kicking off at 3pm, and rolling throughout the day until 1am.
As we’ve gotten older and some of us have families of our own now to consider in our plans, this year’s Lumo Summer Party is a family-friendly event so we are encouraging Lumo regulars and friends to bring their little ones down (with ear defenders of course) if they would like (U12s go free, but should be off premises by 8pm).
There will be drinks from the Hen’s Teeth bar, BBQ from Bahay who have recently started dishing out the food there, we will have the music playing outside on the terrace during the day all going well weather wise.
In the later evening, our guest DJs Steve Manning and Emmy Shigeta will take over the decks for a few hours with Lumo DJs until close after.
Lumo’s music policy can be described as a disco DJ party, we play fun-first tunes, with dips to Italo, house, pop edits, nu-disco, current electronic favourites and classics and curveballs.
We’ve put together the Lumo Summer Mixtape for a sense of the vibe.
Tickets are €14 plus fee from Eventbrite.
Bring your kids. U12s go free with an adult ticket.
