Memory Tapes – The Autumn Reel mix
Last year’s Slaughtered mix by Memory Tapes was one of my favourite collection of original songs last year, as played as some really great albums, so it’s good to see he’s repeating the trick somewhat on The Autumn Reel, which serves a preview of his new album GRACE/CONFUSION as well as “excerpts from “Black Reel” and other unreleased works”. I’m not sure what Black Reel is exactly, but I’m sure this mix starts with a New Order-esque tune before a passage of ambience before darker, beat-driven music kicks in.
Hawk dropped the 8-minute new track ‘Sheila’ last week.
