Music Cork conference & showcase weekend announced for May
Music Cork is a new conference and showcase event taking place in Cork city from Wednesday 10th to Friday 12th May.
Featuring talks from industry professionals at The Clayton Hotel throughout the daytime, announced speakers include:
Key Note speakersDarcus Beese, President of Island Records, booking agents Geoff Meall (UTA / Muse), Steve Zapp (ITB / Biffy Clyro) and Josh Javor (X-Ray / Coldplay), publishing like Martin Toher (B-Unique) and Tommas Arnby (Locomotion).
Other delegates involved in the three-day event are manager of Kodaline and Stephanie Rainey, Ricardo Zambak, Adam Barker, Director of Business Affairs for Universal Music UK Rebecca Allen, Managing Director of Decca and Marc Robinson, Managing Director of Globe. More to be announced.
Live music
There will also be some live showcase events on May 10th and 11th at Cork Opera House, Cyprus Avenue, The Crane Lane Theatre and The Triskel Christchurch, taking place over two days with new acts from Ireland and Nialler9 will be curating one of the lineups. The showcase will give the above speakers and other industry the opportunity to see what is up and coming in Ireland.
A Music Cork Pub Crawl, a networking breakfast and a Networking Day Trip are to be announced too.
