Primal Scream – Come Ahead
The twelfth album and first in eight years from the Scottish rock band finds vocalist and frontman Bobby Gillespie in personal songwriting mode, with production by David Holmes and influences from funk, punk and gospel.
Long Island Sound – Hydra
Rob Roche and Tim Nolan are the Dublin duo of Long Island Sound, who release their second full-length record of electronic productions, that moves between dreamy explorations, dynamic euphoria and comes after 2022’s long-player Lost Connection.
The album is released on Seb Wildblood’s All My Thoughts label their own label Signs of Space.

Various Artists Like Someone I Know: A Celebration of Margo Guryan
The music of private folk pop artist Margo Guryan, who first released music in 1968 and remained private, with various renaissances and rediscoveries of her music right up to her death in 2021.
Featuring covers and reimaginings by Clairo, Tops, Munya, Kate Bollinger, Pearl & The Oysters, Empress of, Barrie and Margo Price.
A portion of proceeds is being donated to providing and advocating for affordable reproductive health services
Freak Slug – I Blow Out Big Candles
Manchester artist Xenya Genovese releases a debut album on Future Classic. Features ‘Spells’, who I first heard at The Great Escape Festival in 2023. The Freak Slug project is influenced by ‘90s cult heroes including Ride, Mazzy Star and Stephen Malkmus.
claire rousay – The Bloody Lady
Electroacoustic composer claire rousay (US) presents her new album, ‘The Bloody Lady’, featuring the reimagined score she wrote for Viktor Kubal’s 1980 eponymous animated film. Kubal (1923-1997), a pioneering Slovak animator, is considered one of the most influential animation filmmakers of the 20th century.
Tessa Rose Jackson – Life Is Strange: Double Exposure
Official soundtrack album to the video game of the same name, a sequel to the first game in 2015 from Dutch/British composer, producer and visual artist.
Marta Del Grandi – Selva (Deluxe)
Italian singer-songwriter releases two-disc version of 2024 album that “tip-tos between Laurel Canyon dust, Lynchian etherealism and dramatic Morricone scores.”
Speakers Corner Quartet – Mr Loverman
UK jazz band who have some prolific collaborators release a soundtrack album for the BBC1 show featuring Tirzah, Leilah, Mica Levi and more, among an Arthur Russell cover.
Piglet – For Frank Forever EP
South London-based Irish songwriter and producer Charlie Loane.
An EP about “the gradual process of coming to understand that poor living standards, your community being demonised , systemic racism and transphobia, exhausting badly paid jobs (etcetcetc) are not just facts of life, or what you deserve, they are the logical outcomes of white supremacist capitalism.”
