Video: Rubberbandits – Bags of Glue

Isn’t it interesting that two lads with plastic bags on their heads taking the absolute complete piss are actually better than almost all the other “real” Irish hip-hop around at the moment?

Yaaa, daaycent kid.

The Bandits are playing two Xmas parties: on the 17th in the Academy, Dublin and on the 28th in Limerick in an as yet undisclosed location.

  1. “Isn’t it interesting that two lads with plastic bags on their heads taking the absolute complete piss are actually better than almost all the other “real” Irish hip-hop around at the moment?”

Spot on, Nialler. There’s some amazing production on their tracks. “Pure Awkward”, “The Greyhound Shuffle” and “Anthony’s Eye” are class musically, regardless of any comedy or piss-take lyrics and style.

  2. If someone says to me “Irish Hip Hop”, I immediately think of three things. 1) Rubberbandits 2) Captain Moonlight 3) I want to crack open your sweet walnut head and feast on the knowledge-goo that resides within.

  3. Very true Mr9.

The Irish are the Blacks of Europe.
Limerick folk are the Blacks of Ireland.
And North of The Shannon are the Blacks of Limerick.

Say it once and say it loud,
    I’m Black and I’m proud

    …yaaaaa
