Open Ear Festival announces dates & tickets for 2024
The avant-electronic and experimental music festival Open Ear returns in 2024.
Open Ear Festival returns to Sherkin Island in West Cork from 31st May to 2nd June, 2024
The festival is a small affair celebrating outliers and music on the fringes, and 2024 will be the sixth edition.
Open Ear recently had a callout to find artists and musicians who have never played live before to play the festival, and to be mentored by the artists in production and performance in the lead up. The successful applicant(s) will be announced in the new year.
2024 will also see Open Ear commission a site-specific collaborative work for the first time, with news on that soon.
In addition, Open Ear will be inviting artists from similar communities internationally to perform on a lineup that will largely feature artists who have never played before.
Last year’s festival featured Acid Granny, Diamond Dagger, The Department of Energy, Jane Deasy, Maeve O’Neill , Rob Rua, Tr One, Zoid and more.
