Pillow Queens, SYLK & Elaine Mai among Irish representatives selected by Keychange for Capacity Building Programme
Keychange is an international music body which aims to address the gender imbalance in the music industry. Here in Ireland, Keychange is sponsored and led on the domestic front by IMRO.
As part of Keychange’s agenda for the year ahead, they have selected 74 artists and music industry professionals from over 12 countries that the initiative believes could be future leaders and innovators in the industry.
There’s some Irish among those 74 artists too. Pillow Queens, SYLK & Elaine Mai are three of the musicians chosen. Artist manager Lia Lieghio, Production assistant for MCD Shauna Watson and Souletiquette runner Mona-Lisa Das are the three Irish ‘innovators’ chosen for the initiative too.
The artists/innovators chosen for the Capacity Building Programme will have unique access to a set of resources and educational opportunities.
These include a full network meet-up in Stockholm, another in Reeperbahn festival later in the year, direct mentoring from all-female industry body She Said So & loads more.
Congratulations to all those picked.
