Post-punk new-wave trio Molchat Doma for debut Irish show
The Post-punk new-wave trio Molchat Doma from Belarus will play their debut Irish show in Dublin later this year courtesy of Selective Memory.
The band whose music crosses between the boundaries of post punk, synth pop and new wave formed in Minsk in 2017 and released their third album Monument in 2019 on Sacred Bones Records, cultivating a live reputation around Europe for their darkwave music ever since. Their song ‘Sudno’ also became a Tik Tok song, with its gloomy electropop getting used in over 150,000 videos.
They play Whelan’s on Wednesday 24th November 2021 and tickets are €20 plus fees on sale from Friday 11th June at noon. from selectivememory.ie, Ticketbooth & Wavtickets.
Molchat Doma is Egor Shkutko, who sings the Russian lyrics in his deep monotone, Roman Komogortsev on guitar, synths, and drum machine, and Pavel Kozlov on bass and synths.
