With the trend of music fans logging off Spotify, re-embracing vinyl and digging out their old iPods, it’s no wonder that MTV Rewind has captured the imagination.
The MTV Rewind video site that has an index of 27,000+ music videos presented like the MTV of yore, with music from six decades from the ’70s to the 2020s.
It’s like the Music Television channels of the past, which have largely dwindled from digital TV offerings in recent years, but for many of us still hold a place in our music discovery hearts, and are where many people discovered their favourite artists they still love.
In this age of fractured narrowcasting, the site, which uses Youtube embeds, IMVDB (Internet Music Video Database), and offers specialist MTV channels like Headbangers Ball and Yo! MTV Raps alongside the decade channels and a shuffle all option.
There are even occasionally vintage ads from the era for the full MTV retrospective feel.

Had to use the back end domain on reddit because they roasted my original two post since they had such velocity for an old account with little activity didn’t want them to delete them again.
Cheers! Thanks so much for the write up.
