The Swedish pop auteur Robyn will release her ninth album on March 27th 2026 on the Young label.
Two Sexistential singles were released alongside the announcement, following the excellent ‘Dopamine’ single released last year.
‘Talk To Me’ is a needy electro banger written during the pandemic about the flirty pleasure of communicating – produced by Klas Åhlund and Oscar Holter, and featuring Max Martin as a co-writer (their first collaboration since 2010’s “Time Machine’) . It’s classic Robyn dance pop.
“I wrote it during the pandemic when there was no way to be physical,” Robyn says. “I like talkers, that turns me on.”
The title track is a more upbeat house club number – “a rap about having one-night stands while 10 weeks pregnant after IVF”.
Written partly as a riposte to Andre 3000 saying no one would want to hear him rap about his colonoscopy, Robyn – who would love to hear that rap – decided to put it all on the line. “It was my cue,” she says. “I have to do this, I have to write a rap about IVF.”
It references Adam Driver giving her a boner. “Fuck an app / fuck a single mom,” she sings with references to the Raya exclusive dating app – the song is this album’s equivalent of ‘Don’t Fucking Tell Me What To Do’.
Robyn also performed the song on Colbert.
Sexistential is Robyn’s ninth album with nine songs co-produced with longtime collaborator Klas Åhlund.

Sexistential is emphatic and punchy, defiant about both emotional and biological pleasure, need and softness. The album’s title started life as an in-joke before she realised it said everything she wanted to say. “Exploring my sensual life is the same feeling as when I make a good song,” she explains. “It’s such a beautiful kind of sensitive vibration that takes so much work to keep afloat. I feel like the purpose of my life is to stay horny – it doesn’t even have to be about sex, but it’s feeling sensual and attracted to things that I enjoy, and not letting anything take over that.”
